“Silk”: New Bathroom Furniture for Attractive Private Bathroom Range

The varied complete bathroom series “Silk” (designed by code.2.design) from Keramag is regarded by sophisticated building owners and modernisers as being a benchmark for timeless elegance and flexible design. The design of the “Silk” sanitary objects relies heavily on the design appeal of solid and fine objects. By employing special elements with extra use features the new series is ideally suited to the needs of the 50+ generation.
The centrepiece and form-giving element in this series is the seven-piece wash basin range (57, 60, 80, 100 and 120 cm), facilitating a variety of individual design options. For use in the guest toilet, the range also contains a 40 cm hand basin. At the ISH 2011, the manufacturer supplemented the product range with wash basin panels and furniture in high-gloss white look. In this way, the wash basin panels that are available in widths of 60, 80, 100, 120 and 140 cm, which were matched optimally to the bathroom furniture, and now available high-quality gloss white varnish. The designs are also available in “Oak” or “Wenge Pangar” real-wood veneer. All panels have a surrounding, set-back cover in chrome-look. Dimensionally matching, wall-handing vanity units, side cabinets and tall cabinets are now also available in all three colours. A matching vanity unit with open and closed storage space is also available for the hand basin. The side cabinets and tall cabinets can be rotated and equipped with shelves. The tall cabinet also has a mirror on the inside door and light strip.
The 140 cm wide wash basin panel can be combined with an asymmetrical, 60 cm wide cabinet element, so that storage space and freedom for legs when the unit is used by a seated user are created at the same time. The upholstered mobile stool, which can be adjusted to 2 heights, is now also available in high-gloss “White”.
In combination with the matching, high-quality bathroom furniture, the series offers plenty of scope for additional uses. The wash basin plates with a projection of 47 cm are ideal for storing all kinds of bathroom items. The optional combination with towel holders – at the side and at the front in the facing – facilitates integration of further comfort functions.
An additional highlight is represented by the “Cosmetics Module”, which can be connected flush with the washbasin panels, and is available in the same looks as the furniture and washbasin panels. This also has an all-round shelf. When opening upwards, an integrated, illuminated mirror is visible, which has now been equipped with a join, so that it can be adjusted – depending on the height of the user. To do this, the mirror can be tilted up to 2 cm. The lower part of the module provides space for smaller make-up utensils. When fastened separately to the wall, the “Cosmetics Module” becomes a practical dressing table.
