Active: innovative wash trough made from Varicor
Keramag presents new product at BAU 2011 / Strong solution for industry, commerce, sport and leisure segments / Made from mineral material with impressive system benefits /
Munich/Gaggenau. A new wash trough for sanitary areas in industrial, commercial, sport and leisure facilities was launched by Keramag at BAU 2011 in Munich. The innovation, named Active, is made from the particularly robust and easy-to-clean mineral material Varicor. It meets the ISO standard 19712 and the CE mark in accordance with DIN 14688.
Thanks to its ergonomic design, which is particularly evident in the chamfered basin, Active enables sportspeople and those who do physically demanding work to wash their arms and upper body thoroughly. The new development also sets benchmarks in ease of cleaning and hygiene. The integral splashback and jointless connections prevent the accumulation of dirt and reduce the need for cleaning. The troughs are available in both white shades Duocolor and Alpine, with the latter even having an antibacterial effect in accordance with the JIS Z standard. The troughs have been designed for use by up to three people at once and as many as is required can be installed side by side. The water is supplied via wall-mounted taps, which means that all parts of the wash trough can also be quickly and easily cleaned, even the back.
The product, which is cast as one piece, has a rectangular basin and moulded front trim, as well as an overflow edge on the front edge of the shelf area. The trough is mounted using hanger bolts.
The new wash trough is offered in the following sizes: external dimensions 1,876 × 555 mm, splashback H 50 mm, basin 1,656 × 400 mm, front trim H = 200 mm, splashback H 50 mm, material thickness 12 mm.
Varicor is a polymer-bound, non-porous material. Over the past 25 years, it has proven its extensive resistance to acids and disinfectants, as well as its ease of repair.
