ISH 2011 - “Flushcontrol 1000”: New 0.5 Litre Urinal Flush System

Frankfurt/Ratingen. The urinals from the Keramag “Renova Nr. 1 Plan” series can now be equipped with the new electronic “Flushcontrol 1000” flush system, which reduces water consumption to 0.5 litres per flush. The significant reduction in consumption is possible through innovative suction technology. The moulded suction piece was redesigned taking optimised flow aspects into consideration. The compact inlet unit was also redeveloped with integrated magnetic valve and electronics attached directly to the valve block.
Additional security for processors, engineers and investors is provided by the WELL classification (WELL = Water Efficiency Label) already carried out by TÜV Rheinland. “Flushcontrol 1000” therefore has the first urinal flush system with the water-saving volume of maximum 0.5 l which has been presented with the highest award of 6 stars. Depending on requirements, the new urinal flush system works by battery or 230 V power connection. Contactless activation takes place automatically after use, as the multi-parameter sensor reliably recognises when the urinal has been used. The system is completed enclosed in ceramic, making it invisible to users and offering extensive protection from vandalism. The installation of the complete urinal units can also take place directly onto the tiles, without any special front-wall elements. The extensive pre-assembly of the urinal flush system ensures speedy installation.
The frequency of flush can be tailored exactly to the relevant fields of use and requirement situations. This means that in the case of high frequency, the integrated “staged flushing” automatically ensures flushes every minute after five uses in three minutes. The intelligent hygiene flush process takes into account temporary service interruption or holiday periods, by converting the hygiene flush mode to a three-day-cycle after two days of no use. Optionally, the hygiene flush can also be activated completely by button. The triggerable flush stop function for cleaning purposes makes safe cleaning possible – even with relevant dwell times. When the discharge pipe is blocked, the flush system automatically prevents activation. Without any restrictions of cleanliness or hygiene and with no unpleasant odours, the 0.5 litre flush volume leads to a considerable reduction in operating costs.
As a supplementary model for integration into modern buildings, the manufacturer presented the “Flushcontrol 1000 N GLT” version at the ISH 2011, which makes it possible to combine the urinal flush system with conventional BUS systems. Consequently, this version guarantees central management of the urinal flush system, even in large sanitary installations. Depending on the household system cables, this system makes it possible to trigger flushes individually or at the same time, to stop flushes, for example to clean the installation, to display status information in case of errors and to determine flush volumes. Market introduction is intended for mid-2011.
