Renova Nr. 1 Plan: successful range with updated design
Facelift for wall-hung WC and bidet in trendy square design / Additional hand-rinse basin with matching vanity unit / New urinals for public and commercial sanitary facilities / High potential for reducing costs thanks to waterless operation of urinals /
Munich/Ratingen. Keramag AG has expanded its successful Renova Nr. 1 Plan range. The square design, which was launched in 2005 as a complement to the successful Renova Nr. 1 range, has been consistently and continuously expanded ever since. As well as an attractive bathroom furniture range and double and shelf washbasins for private bathrooms, under-counter washbasins for group installations in public and commercial sanitary facilities have joined the range. At BAU 2011, additional products for both areas of application were presented. WCs and matching WC seats and bidets in an updated design, as well as a hand-rinse basin including vanity unit and two innovative urinals, complement the comprehensive range.
In the washbasin segment, the last gap in the market has been closed with the development of the new hand-rinse basin (45 × 32 cm). A matching 39-cm-wide vanity unit with door in white, wenge and ruby is also available. New vanity units are also available for the 50-cm hand-rinse basin and 55-cm washbasin. For the latter, the vanity unit is available with either a door or a drawer. This means that vanity units are now available for all basins from 45 to 130 cm in width in the three current colours.
The wall-hung wash-down and wash-out WCs and the bidet have un-dergone a facelift. The design of the sanitary objects is now more strongly aligned to the square principle underpinning the washbasins. Matching WC seats can be supplied with soft-closing mechanism on request. This ensures optimal design from a single source for both private bathrooms and sanitary facilities in the public and commercial sector. Moreover, the wash-down WC also helps to save water. It can be flushed using 4.5/3 litres and therefore consumes 25% less water than a normal 6-l wash-down WC.
As well as undercounter washbasins, a urinal in a similar design is also available for highly frequented toilet facilities. Its design matches the square washbasins and ensures a coherent, modern look for sanitary facilities. Two versions are offered. The battery-operated, no-touch electronic urinal flush system Flushcontrol 500 or the mains-operated Flushcontrol 500 N, which can be operated with just a one-litre flush volume, will reduce water costs considerably. A new innovation is Flushcontrol 1000, an even more efficient flush system that reduces water consumption to 0.5 l per flush.
The waterless urinals enable maximum savings. The intelligent drainage technology means that no sealing liquid is necessary, which makes cleaning and maintenance easier. The incredibly simple and effective solution to this is provided by a rubber siphon trap. This comprises a type of tube that opens if any liquid starts to exert pressure. As the pressure decreases, it closes again immediately. Once the system is closed, no smells can escape from the waste water channel. Special cleaning materials or technology is not necessary. In terms of ease of cleaning, there is therefore no difference between this and traditional urinals. The flushed version can be installed with a cover on request and is therefore also ideal for use in private bathrooms.
An additional advantage of the new Renova Nr. 1 Plan urinals is their ease of installation. Equipped with the patented Kerafix mounting sys-tem, they can easily be swapped with older Aller models. Their dimen-sions are specially designed so that they cover existing connections and are therefore particularly suited for exchanging with older models without incurring renovation costs or requiring too much effort. This is because the tiles and walls will not be damaged during installation. Thanks to its water-saving capabilities, both types of urinal will pay for themselves within a very short space of time.
As the brand manufacturer underlined in Munich, the updated design of the WCs, bidets and new urinals has increased the appeal of the universally suitable range for both private and public/commercial use. All sanitary objects are available with the dirt-repellent KeraTect sur-face finish on request.
