“iCon”: for individual bathroom design

Frankfurt/Ratingen. An unusually versatile complete bathroom programme was the focal point of the ISH new launches from Keramag AG – the new bathroom series “iCon” (designed by code.2.design). It comprises a comprehensive range of washbasins, wall-hung WC and bidet, a floor standing washdown WC combination, bathtubs and shower trays as well as a modular furniture programme, which creates unusual design combinations in perfect alignment with the sanitary products. The design of this programme for the middle price segment is oriented towards the style trend of urban living.
All washbasins are kept in a simple, timelessly modern form language and are distinguished by linear external contouring, organically flowing bowls and spacious surfaces. The range includes four washbasins (60, 75, 90 und 120 cm), a double washbasin (120 cm) with two basins as well as two asymmetrical washbasins (50 und 90 cm) with right and left models.
Towards the back of the wider side, these models have a sunken ceramic section with integrated and attractive decorative dish. The washing area is especially charming if fresh flowers are arranged in this decorative dish. This feature also has practical uses: fill with water to clean a razor or use as a safe place to keep items of jewellery not needed when washing. Colours match the furniture tones – and a pleasant contrast to the white ceramic. For guest bathrooms, the product range as a 38 cm wide hand-rinse basin with tap hole on the right or left as well as a corner hand-rinse basin with a side length of 32.5 cm.
The WCs and bidet harmonize with the flowing inner contour of the washbasin, creating a contrast to the strict exterior geometry of the washbasin. The WC seat is optionally fitted with a soft-closing mechanism. All sanitary products are available in “White (Alpin)” and, upon request, available with “KeraTect”, a dirt-resistant ceramic glaze.
The new bathroom has an individual ambiance thanks to the combination of sanitary products with matching bathroom furniture in high gloss trend colours of “Alpine”, “Burgundy” and “Platinum”. Perfectly aligned drawers in form and function (60, 75, 90, 120 x 24 cm), vanity units (60, 75, 90, 120 x 62 cm), tall cabinets (35 x 180 x 30 cm), side cabinets (45 x 60 und 89 x 47 cm), illuminated mirrors (60, 90, 120 x 75 cm) and shelves (60 und 90 x 16.5 cm) as well as a cabinet with mirror (35 x 150 x 30 cm) also create the basis for new ways of grouping furnishing items in addition to spacious storage and plenty of stowing options. Here, “iCon” allows for various interpretations of urban styling: in addition to the timelessly modern version, an equally striking as well as extravagant look can be created thanks to the skilful play with different levels, colours and overhang. For instance, innovations are the connection of the cabinet with mirror with the floor standing cabinet for the combination of drawers with side cabinet. Additionally, the illuminated mirrors can be installed with light element (middle axis) directed towards the left or right. This creates a personal touch especially in combination with matching shelves alongside or below the mirror. The furnishing items can be combined in an unusual way, giving the architecture and impact of the bathroom entirely new styling inspirations.
The range is completed with formally harmonized bathtubs and shower trays. The rectangular acrylic bathtubs are available with foot drain (170 x 75 x 45 cm) or middle drain (170 x 75 x 45 cm, 180 x 80 x 45 cm, 190 x 90 x 45 cm), the oval bathtub (180 x 85 x 45) also has a middle drain. The generous depth of the bathtub gives an all-round feel-good factor. The square shower trays measure 80 x 80, 90 x 90 and 100 x 100 cm, the rectangular models 100 x 80 cm and 120 x 90 cm and the rounded corner version 90 x 90 und 100 x 100 cm. Thanks to their high rim of only 3 cm, they can be installed at floor level and are especially comfortable to use – no high edges to deal with. They are also ideally combined with the “S500” shower enclosures of the Sanitec subsidiary, Koralle.
