Frequently, the design of sanitary products in terms of size and height is oriented to the adults’ needs. This makes using these products a considerable challenge for small children or it requires the assistance of parents or teachers. To offer younger people the chance of contemporary bathroom comfort, at the ISH 2009, Keramag AG presented special products for children “to grow into”. These are suited both for installation in private bathrooms as well as for washroom and toilet facilities in kindergarten, nurseries, at children’s doctors and kids clinics. Easy-use and creative design features enables the younger generation to grow playfully accustomed to independent use of wash basin and toilet facilities. This makes life easier for parents, teachers or carers, while at the same time improving general hygiene standards.
The specially developed “child’s wash basin” (60x40 cm) can be installed at the right height. It is fitted with a curved inner basin and drawn forward tap platform, which helps the child reach the fitting. The siphon and the corner valve can be optionally covered with a semi-column.
The washdown and washout WCs for children, available as floor-standing or wall-hung models, – starting at baby age groups – are available in various heights. One highlight among the children’s products is the “Lion Paw WC for children”. At the foot of the floor-standing WC, two specially modelled paws were integrated, which small children can rest their feet on, to gain better control on the WC seat. WCs are optionally available with a WC seat or with a two-part seat fitting that improves comfort and, in the red version, also adds extra colour to the bathroom.
