Sanitec: Michael Hellmund takes over company-wide responsibility for ceramics segment
Personnel update
Sanitec: Michael Hellmund takes over company-wide responsibility for ceramics segment / Additional duties for the chairman of the board at Keramag AG / Continued close cooperation
Ratingen. Michael Hellmund, chairman of the board at Keramag AG, will take on companywide responsibility for the ceramics segment within the Sanitec Group. With 8,000 employees and 25 manufacturing locations, the Finnish Sanitec Corporation (Helsinki) is Europe’s market leader in sanitary ceramics, bathtubs and showers.
The basis for this decision is a move towards strategic streamlining of corporate management according to individual product groups. The ceramics segment is Sanitec’s highest grossing segment by far.
As he will be taking on these additional responsibilities, Michael Hellmund will give up some of his existing roles, such as his directorship of Koralle Sanitärprodukte GmbH (Vlotho, Germany) and the Dutch company Sphinx, as well as his position as chairman of the supervisory board at Bekon-Koralle in Switzerland.
With proven teamwork skills, he will oversee company-wide sales and marketing activities for the ceramics segment and work together with Reginald Thal, who is sales director of Keramag, Koralle and Sphinx for Central Europe, i.e. Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg. Reginald Thal has also taken over as managing director of Sphinx (Maastricht).
The new managing director of Koralle and new chair of the supervisory board for Bekon- Koralle have yet to be announced.
